Feeling lazy on a Sunday? Don't reach for the take out, make your own! Vietnamese Pho, an intensely flavorful and aromatic noodle soup, is one of life's most pleasurable take out options, but did you know that not only is it easy to make but extremely rewarding as well? You will be amazed at the delectable fragrance lofting though your kitchen when you learn to make this dish. We will start by learning how to create and perfect this rich zesty pho broth in chicken, vegetarian and classic beef flavors. We will learn how to season our broth with lively herbs and spices and what bones to use for the non-vegetarian versions. We will focus on pho spices, learning what they are and how to use them without overusing them, creating the most perfect and intricately spiced broth imaginable. We will learn the exact cuts of rich and tender meats to use and how to use them, and how to incorporate tofu into your soup without it getting soggy. Next up, we will shift to the slippery soft Pho noodles, learning which noodles to choose and how we stir things up with different textures and types of noodles. And just when you think it can't get any better, we bring out the infamous Pho vegetable & herb plate, showcasing all of the fresh fragrant herbs like cilantro, mint and Thai basil, accompanied by fresh chilies, crunchy bean sprouts and tangy fresh lime wedges. We might just throw in a few more items as well! And in a unique twist we will learn how to make our own condiments for the soup, recreating hoi sin and our own spicy version of serracha! Then we will turn into true pioneers and prove that we can even make our own bubble tea. So come, learn how to make your own take out, and spice up your lazy Sunday afternoon!
